I don't know when exactly I started to write down my thoughts, experiences and feelings, but the earliest record I still preserve is the following stream of consciousness I wrote when I was 16. Since my mothertongue is italian, here the original plus translation.
The river of time flows, impetuous and endless, overwhelming everything, soaking every life, without ever coming out in a sea. Or it does, but we do not know. And what about us? What do we make of our ephemeral existence, which seems almost meaningless? Yet it is the little things that change the world, yet without us this world would not be what it is, but it would look different in the meantime the water polishes stones , breaks the branches that protrude too much on the banks - But how is that world not reached by the current , firm in eternity ? Or it is also moving, immersed in a reality we do not understand, because carried too quickly by the water we cannot fix our gaze on the landscape beyond those shores.
